You may ask what can TAS V.I.C. Inc. do for us?
TAS V.I.C. is an active group which offers help and support for parents and their families with a child who is either Visually Impaired or Blind, no matter whether it is a Primary or Secondary condition. There are three regional branches, Southern, Northern and North East, each of whom have a Coordinator. The activities of the group include State and regional meetings, seminars, information get-togethers, annual camps for the whole family and a newsletter (TAS V.I.C. News).
The group also plays a vital part in the management of a technology equipment library based at Royal Guide Dogs in Hobart. TAS V.I.C. work in conjunction with both the Education Department and Royal Guide dogs in this task.
We also assist with the children competing in the Southern Cross Games for Visually Impaired and Blind. This is an excellent way to learn from the experience of others. For further information please contact the State Secretary.
